Hello there,

I am a self-taught artist based in the UK and I love filling my time with lovely friends, tasty food and cosy hobbies like journalling, reading and listening to music! I also love to write about all sorts of things, which is what I will be using this space for, partly as a dumping ground/journal for everything ranging from art projects to book reviews to curious ramblings…

Many years ago at the peak of my ’embarrassing teenage years’ I had a fan account on Instagram, where I curated photos of my favourite band and created art inspired by their music. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with other people my age, then consisting of angsty teens trying to find their voice in a grown up world. As the years went by, the rapid expansion of social media platforms made us wary of our ‘digital footprints’ and I became increasingly self-conscious of my online existence. This ultimately led to my decision to say goodbye to the account, and with it a community that made me feel just a little less alone in the world.

Now that I’m in my mid-20’s, I’ve been finding myself yearning for a creative outlet that was once my fan account, a place where I can connect with others over our shared interests, hobbies and values, exempt from the capitalistic obsession with ‘outreach’ or ‘engagement rates’. With this blog, I am so excited to create space for myself, to once again be free and share things that bring me joy and a sense of purpose.
